Jane Baxter

Pacific Hearing Service Palo Alto, California

Jane received her graduate training at San Francisco State and UC Berkeley. She completed her clinical doctorate in Audiology at Salas University. Jane began her career as a research audiologist at the VA and then transitioned to clinical audiology at Stanford University. She is Board Certified in Audiology and a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
Jane became co-owner of Pacific Hearing Service in 1986. She is one of the founders of California Academy of Audiology and served as treasurer. Pacific Hearing Service has been involved in clinical research with several startups and manufacturers including ReSound, Sonic Innovations, Earlens, Widex, Starkey, Phonak and Oticon. ADA awarded Pacific Hearing Service (and Jane and Debbie) the Leo Doerfler award for outstanding clinical services in the community throughout their careers.

Pacific Hearing Service became a charter member of Entheos in 2014. Jane has served on the Best Practices and Humanitarian committees. Her passion is heading the student initiative committee, which provides audiology doctoral students intense practical experience through humanitarian work in developing countries. Jane has been on 26+ humanitarian trips to Guatemala, Ecuador, Zambia, Mozambique, South Africa, Turks and Caicos, and the Middle East.
