Audio Help Hearing Centers

My interest in becoming an audiologist arose unexpectedly. As an undergraduate pursuing a career in computer science, I worked part-time at my uncle’s hearing aid dispensing practice. Some of the clients were infants, referred to him by a local hospital. These young children had severe to profound hearing loss and, consequently, no speech development. They were divided from their families — and from the world — by a wall of silence. When my uncle fit these children with hearing aids, they reacted with delight as they heard their first sounds. Soon, they produced sounds of their own, and their speech began to develop.  The look on these young faces as they discovered a new world, and the tears of grateful joy in their parents’ eyes, will forever inspire me. My uncle’s practice clearly made an immediate, profound impact on the lives of others, bringing patients and their loved ones closer. I realized that my place, too, was with people –not in a dark room reviewing computer code and writing programs.  Specifically, I wanted to be a positive force in the world by helping others overcome the psychosocial isolation of hearing loss. Compassion and communication are the major keys to human connection– and to my ultimate calling as a Doctor of Audiology.

I graduated from the University of Florida with an Au.D (Doctor of Audiology) degree. The path I chose led me to establish my own practice in 2000: Audio Help Hearing Centers. Hearing-related issues can often be difficult, emotional, and extremely hard for outsiders to understand. Moreover, technology has advanced exponentially over the last few decades, so educating clients and helping each one navigate toward his or her optimal solution is a collaborative art. Every client is unique, and one size does not fit all. That’s why, from the very beginning, I’ve worked to build a compassionate team of licensed hearing healthcare professionals. AHHC’s dedicated staff is committed to providing comprehensive hearing assessments and personalized solutions through advanced, reliable technology. Year after year, we stay informed about new developments, while consistently providing services with kindness and understanding of your individual needs. We are dedicated to improving your quality of life.

Even after all these years, it feels like we’re just getting started, and I’m excited for what the future holds. Our vision is to be “the provider of choice” in New York City, Westchester, and Connecticut. Let us help you take back control of your hearing health — and ultimately take back your life!
